Songs for Worship

Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him.  Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.

Psalm 33:1-3 (NIV)

Go Fish  (Catch the Joy of the Lord)

Background

Jesus called Peter and Andrew and James and John to be "fishers of men."  By calling them after miraculously filling their nets with fish, He was giving them a foretaste of the fruitfulness of their new calling.  Jesus continues to call His disciples today to share the Gospel with those who do not know Him, so that He might draw them to faith in Him.  This song is an encouragement to be about the work of mission fishin.'

This song was written for St. John's Lutheran School by Bob Hauch for its 2005-2006 theme, "Go Fish."  For the recording, the song is sung by St. John's students.
