Songs for Worship

Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him.  Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.

Psalm 33:1-3 (NIV)

Holy Holy Holy

This is a setting of the liturgical hymn "Holy, Holy, Holy" or "The Sanctus."  The text is a celebration of the presence of God.  By combining Isaiah's vision with the Triumphal Entry of Jesus, the text draws us to worship Jesus as God Almighty.  We join our voices with the angels, the crowds, and all the church in all the world to celebrate the presence of Christ in our midst.  It is quite fitting that this hymns of praise is traditionally part of the communion liturgy, as the church celebrates the presence of Christ in His body and blood in the bread and wine.

Holy Holy Holy Lord
Lord God of power and might
Heaven and earth are full of Your glory
Hosanna Hosanna
Hosanna in the highest

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord
Hosanna Hosanna
Hosanna in the highest
Hosanna Hosanna
Hosanna in the highest
