Songs for Worship

Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him.  Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.

Psalm 33:1-3 (NIV)

Lord Have Mercy

This is a setting of the Kyrie, the liturgical prayer of the church as it comes together in worship.  It is a prayer for the church as it gathers, the church in all the world, and the rule and reign of Christ in all the world.  This is an antiphonal setting with the leader singing the prayer and the congregation responding with "Lord Have Mercy."

In peace
We pray to You, Lord
     Lord have mercy

For Your peace and presence
Love and mercy for all
We pray to You, Lord
     Lord, have mercy

For Your reign in the whole world
For Your life in our lives
And Your presence with us now
We pray to You, Lord
     Lord, have mercy

For all of Your people who gather to lift You praise="font-family: Trebuchet MS">
We pray to You, Lord
     Lord, have mercy

Help us and heal us, save us and bless us now.
