When the church celebrates the Lord's Supper, it celebrates its unity in Christ.  There is a "communion" taking place in numerous ways:  The bread and the body of Christ are one.  The wine and the blood of Christ are one.  Christ and His church are one.  And flowing from this unity with Christ, believers are one with each other.  "We who are many are one body for we partake of the one loaf (1 Corinthians 10:17).

This song is a prayer that the unity which we celebrate in communion be truly manifest among believers in the church
